Core meetings: Where interns and volunteers plan future events, make decisions about campaigns, and give updates on the status of the chapter. One stop shop for finding out what CALPIRG is up to at USC.
Intern class: Come learn the skills you need to make in impact on the issues you care about. Interns, volunteers, student groups, and curious folks welcome.
Global Warming Solutions campaign: The American Clean Energy and Security Act - the first nationwide cap to global warming pollution - needs to pass the senate this school year. Help us stand up to big oil and dirty coal and make it happen.
Oceans campaign: Each year we pollute our ocean right here in Los Angeles. We are working to stop this pollution by doing several beach clean-ups and petitioning to get our elected officials to better protect our coastline.
Hunger and Homelessness campaign: Poverty is a huge problem not only in Los Angeles but around the world. Millions go to sleep each night without a roof over their heads or enough meals to keep them healthy. This semester we'll be having several service events, collecting hundreds of items of food for local shelters, and getting our elected officials involved in fighting poverty.
Affordable Health Care campaign: Reforming health care is the Presidents top priority, but he needs our help. We need to make sure our elected officials know that USC students want affordable health care and a public option!
Affordable Education campaign: Students are graduating with more debt each year. The average student today graduates from college with $17,000 in debt. We are working to pass the Student Aid and Fiscal Responsibility Act and decrease the price of textbooks.
