-POWERSHIFT WEST COAST!! National conference in Eugene, Oregon. All young activists working on global warming solutions all meet. Nov 4th is the deadline to sign up! Need to get at least 10 people registered in order to get funding.

-Meeting with the Director of Transportation at UCSD for

students organizations involved in sustainability and Transit. Thursday October 22 from 12-1pm in the faculty club and lunch

will be served. Please let me know if you will be available to attend.

-Planning to work on getting a UCSD public transportation referendum passed

*HUNGER & HOMELESSNESS

-Halloween event: TRICK'O'CAN. 

-focusing on a lot of campus relations

-want to show hunger and homelessness is bipartisan

-Want to start working with Monarch Home in a mentorship program

-Last week we had a successful panel with some orgs on campus

-Nancy Pelosi wants CALPIRG and College Dems to host events on campus for healthcare

-Wednesday @ 7PM at the calpirg office=campaign meeting

*AFFORDABLE EDUCATION

*GLOBAL WARMING

-Event on wednesday, october 21st on Library walk getting videos of people pushing Obama to help create strong global warming laws and regulation

*OCEANS:

-events don't start till november

-hearing tomorrow in Long Beach, voting on marine protected areas up and down the socal coast: public comments at 1:30PM and 7:00PM. Talk to adam if you are interested.
