I'm writing you on a Saturday morning because I'm worried we will lose health care reform by as few as two votes.

As we've been working to prevent a Senate filibuster, we've also been counting votes in the House. Now Larry McNeely, our advocate on the Hill, says that the House bill could come up for a vote as early as this afternoon, and he's not sure they have the votes to pass reform.

We've worked too hard, for too long, to let the House ruin everything.

I ask that you please call your representative this morning. Click here or visit www.whoismyrepresentative.com to look up your representative's phone number.

Health care is on the line.

Here's a sample message:

I'm calling to urge Rep. ________ to vote for the Affordable Health Care for America Act, which will give us health care we can count on, health care that's affordable for all, health care that has greater choice and competition with a public option, and a stronger Medicare.

Reply to this message to report your call, and please forward this e-mail to your family and friends.

Sincerely,

Emily Rusch
CALPIRG State Director
