Ask publishers to lower the cost of textbooks

Letter	Dear Ms. Schroeder, I am writing to express my concern about the high cost of college textbooks. With tuition rising, I am worried about my ability to pay for college as it is - the rising cost of textbooks adds another worry to my list. I have had to buy textbooks in which the new edition was barely different than the previous edition, making it harder for me to find a used version of the textbook. In addition, I have often been forced to buy a textbook bundled with other items, such as CD ROMs and workbooks, that were never used for my classes. I respect your industry's ability to make a profit, however, I think these practices cross the line between sound and unfair business practices. I ask that you forward my letter to your members and urge them to individually adopt these points as a matter of general business practices. Sincerely,
